Cutting edge work in sensors fuel cells materials development. Liberal sick time policy. 401K and vacation and insurance programs. This is a job to take for experience if you have to and then move on
Cons
Turnover rate is very high, the amount of highly toxic chemicals used is huge, safety program is lax at best, work load is over the top, upper management is a bunch of ivory tower types, and different groups are pitted against each other for very limited resources

First I would like to apologize for our tardy reply. We want to thank you for taking the time to give us your feedback. We are sorry that your experience with Nexceris did not match our intention of being a great place to work. We are always finding ways to improve but we wanted to address a couple of your specific concerns here. Nexceris follows all OSHA mandated regulations for the safe use and disposal of all chemicals and materials. Some of the materials used at Nexceris are hazardous and strict safety protocols are in place for use of these materials. It is misguided at best to say that the amount of highly toxic chemicals used at Nexceris is “huge”, and that Nexceris’ safety program is “lax”. While we are always aiming at continuous improvement, Nexceris is proud of the safety culture that it has established. In a recent inspection from our local fire department, the inspector stated he is always very impressed with our commitment to safety.
Secondly, we feel it necessary to dispel the claim that we have high turnover. Over the past ten years our annual turnover rate is 7%. The average rate in Ohio last year was 18%. While again there is always room for improvement, we are implementing many programs, selected by employees, for improving overall job satisfaction at Nexceris. These include improving our benefits package, profit sharing, summer hours, employee recognition and many other programs. Many of our employees have made a very good career at Nexceris.
This is a company that a company that has people that work there.
Cons
Very unpredictable market possibility for layoffs

We thank you for your response. While we do admit we had to conduct layoffs this year, this was the first year in our 28 years of existence that we have performed layoffs. It was a decision that we did not take lightly and worked through other options before we made the final decision to lay off a few individuals.
