Pros

Professional Exterior and professional dress

Cons

Not 100% honest on what the job details. Over exaggerates on what their company has done. Say that they know their cliental that they are going to visit (and visit by walking door to door which they will not mention) but that client may have no plan with whatever company they are pushing and have no clue what Next Consultants *the seller* is doing at their doorstep in the first place.

Reviewer, Thank you for your review and words of encouragement on our professionalism. As far as your cons, I am sorry you felt that we were not open and honest with what the job details. We strive to make sure everyone is aware of the day to day responsibilities during our three round interview process, where we actually pride ourselves on being as open, honest and clear cut as possible. This all starts with the phone interview stating that we are a SALES and MARKETING company. I know I explain on every preliminary interview exactly what a day to day will look like, from conducting meetings, to meeting with our customers. If you did not experience this being covered with you during the interview process, please feel free to reach out to me personally at Nicholas@NextConsultantsInc.com. We are of course, always looking for ways to improve. As far as exaggerating what our company has done, we have 5 offices in different locations where each member of management started in the same entry level position, including myself. I am incredibly proud of every one of my team members for the growth and success that they have achieved for themselves. We do believe our professionalism is exemplified not only by our culture, but through our clients as well. We work representing the largest companies in the world and bring them fantastic results. YES – we do work directly with AT&T and I would hope that they wouldn’t hire or work with anyone who exhibits nothing but the highest honesty, integrity, and the best customer service experience. They have one of the best services in the industry, and we are proud of the work we do for them. -Nicholas A. Gow

Pros

You're coworkers are typically very nice and helpful.

Cons

I worked for Nicholas Gow at his previous company in Maitland, FL, BlackRock Consultants. Anyone interested in working at Next Consultants should also check out the reviews on BlackRock. Gow spoke openly about writing fake reviews on Glassdoor when I knew him. If you check the dates on the BlackRock reviews you will notice that the positive ones are all dated very close to each other, and are similar in style and tone. A common tactic for pyramid schemes is that they often change their names and locations as soon as the reviews to get too bad and people will no longer work for them. Now that BlackRock is permanently closed, I can only assume that Nick has transferred his previous business model to a new office in Illinois. The tactics should be the same: he will mislead you in the interview, which is mostly a sales pitch, about the work you will be doing, the hours you will have to put in, and the pay that you are likely to receive. Most people quit very quickly when they realize that they have been misled. While it is technically true that you CAN make a lot of money, anyone who is not already very comfortable in sales should steer clear. It is very difficult, very demanding work that will drain you emotionally. I came very close to having to live out of my car while I worked for Nicholas Gow. During the day I had to drive extremely far with no gas compensation to go door to door selling a really mediocre product. You are trained to lie to your potential customers regarding the services they will receive. Unsurprisingly, most people are not receptive to a stranger knocking on their door. You will be cursed at, slandered, have doors slammed in your face, and 95% of the people you meet are going to hate you. And there will be many days where you go through all of that and will walk away with absolutely nothing to show for it, because the job is 100% commission. IF you are already an excellent salesperson, with an extremely thick skin, this job might be worth it for you. But, you could probably still make more working in a different sales environment. You can make a LOT of money if you end up opening your own office, but unless you're also comfortable lying to YOUR future employees to make that money, probably your conscience will be better served working elsewhere. The time I spent working for Nick Gow was the darkest time of my life. I regret it immensely. It was very damaging to my mental health and well being, it made me feel worthless and small. I sincerely wish I could take it back.

Reviewer, First off, I am sorry you feel such hatred from a position you held back in 2015. It must take a lot of work to keep tabs on former employers of yours. Within three years’ time, you can imagine a lot has changed since you were employed by me in a completely DIFFERENT company than Next Consultants Inc. Addressing your concerns, I would never tell people to write “fake” reviews. I have always encouraged my employees to write reviews on our company website, but only wanted nothing but honesty from all employees, past and present. The ability to write reviews is a freedom of speech. I welcome that since I am very open with our company, what we do, and the success we have achieved. Unfortunately, majority of people only write reviews when they have a negative experience, for example, if you had a bad experience at a restaurant. It’s very unfortunate that the reality of what they are attempting to accomplish is nothing more than wanting to belittle others just to feel better about themselves. I highly doubt that a team member of mine that is performing is going to write a negative review. On contrary, it is more likely the review of someone that was not able to perform the duties or responsibilities of the position. Everyone has a right to lash out and slander any company they chose, however, if you think about this logically, I don’t see how we can represent big name companies if what we do isn’t upheld with high integrity or ethics. I mean, do you think AT&T, our current client, would be asking us to expand if we were unfair to our employees or customers? As far as claiming that we are a pyramid scheme, I’m not sure you know exactly what that means. We are not a pyramid or multi-level marketing company. As we previously stated, we work representing some of the largest companies in the country, Fortune 100 to be exact. YES - we sell AT&T here in Illinois. Considering you are NOT in this company, nor have you ever been, how would you know that? We're certain you don't think AT&T is operating a scam, right? Not just them but any of our other well-known reputable clients or partners. We take our work very seriously, as well as the improper use of that term. We didn’t close business to change locations or to change names. We grow with opportunity and where our client needs us. I can only imagine the difficulty we would have trying to handle our client’s customers in Illinois if we lived anywhere else. In addition, if you know of a way to transfer a corporation across state borders without having to reincorporate in another state, PLEASE LET ME KNOW so that if I must do it again in the future I can avoid all the costs that were associated with having to reincorporate and ask for a refund. We are a SALES and MARKETING company. I do not shy away from the truth. We ONLY sell to customers whom the service would benefit, either by lowering their bill, providing superior service, or both. The fact that you felt you had to lie to customers tells a lot right there. If at any point any person in my office is in a tough position, they know to come directly to me and know I will lend nothing but help. I have a multitude of examples whether this is in their personal lives, or how to get better within the company. One thing that stood out to me across the review that you left was a heavy use of the term “assume” based on experiences that you had working somewhere else. I welcome you to reach out to me if you did work for me at any point. I have the same number as always or you can email me at nicholas@nextconsultantsinc.com. The accusations however, are neither here or there since I conduct my business with the highest-level integrity and professionalism. This all starts with being very clear in our extensive interview process that covers everything from outlining the position, what a day to day will look like, and even a complete breakdown of the multiple options that I offer for compensation. All in all, I want to wish you nothing but the best of luck in your future endeavors and I truly do hope that your life starts moving more into a positive direction. Sincerely, - Nicholas A Gow

Pros

Owner won't fire because they need as many people as he can get to make more money

Cons

Owner will consistently lie to you the whole time you are there, starts from the moment you interview, you are lied to about how much you will make, u are lied to about satirday work, when they offer you the job ( trust me they will) they will tell you you are the only one out of twenty seven people interviewed to get offered the job. You will probably see some of the same people who interviewed the same day as you start the same day as well. The owner will hold a bs opportunity meeting to lie to you about how much he actually makes. The owner never stops pitching his own employees and its disrespectful. A smart person will see through the bs eventually, at least.

Hey Reviewer! Wow, it seems that we did not part on amicable terms at all. I do wish you would have came to me directly rather than having to read this online, but I welcome freedom of speech since we have nothing to hide here. To clarify a few things: 1. It is extremely hard to fire people when they do not show up to work. I always strive for nothing but the best for my people and am a firm believer of showing each individual respect, which is why I would never fire someone via text, email, or voicemail. To me it is unprofessional. 2. We have an extensive three round interview process, so the fact that you felt you were lied to baffles me. If you have experienced something other than our open-door policy please reach out to me so we can better ourselves and prevent this from happening. We explain growth, compensation, and days you are anticipated to work. 3. Regarding “BS” work, we are sorry you did not enjoy your time here, our culture, or even our people. This reminds me of a quote that states “Do what you love and you’ll never have to work a day in your life.” While I understand that the line of work and the goals of this organization will not align with everyone, which is why I have to conduct so many interviews, I am excited to say that we have a lot of team members, including myself, who enjoy waking up every day, working together, and helping others accomplish their true potential. All in all, I appreciate the opportunity to clarify things and I genuinely want to say that I wish you nothing but the best and hope you find a position you can be happy and successful in. - Nicholas A.
