Pros

Nexus are an entrepreneurial company keen to grow and develop. I was struck by how Nexus has embraced the latest technology and applications for staff to use in their day to day job. Being a company in the technical sectior I was expecting a good level of technical expertise, however I have been struck at the technical knowhow and ability of the engineers working at Nexus. There is also a lot of investment in staff going on, Technical teams have individual roadmaps of training to aid their development.

Cons

At times it can feel a bit silo’d, different departments don’t always collaborate together as effectively as they could. However I can see this changing soon.

Atmosphere in the office is always friendly, great staff who work together well, relaxed environment, approachable management, forwarding looking business, opportunities for career development, large variety of client work

Cons

Change not always a quick as expected, staff sometimes don't realise the opportunity they have to contribute and enact change

A belated thanks for your feedback. Hopefully you've found our quartely company updates of value (and the associated pizza and drinks afterwards) to see that we're making attempts to ensure everyone is working towards our common goals. I understand the frustration over change sometimes taking too long, we're working on this but don't be shy to step forward and take the lead on some of the agreed initiatives, one team....one direction (No boy-band pun intended)

People that you work with are very friendly.

Some of the good reviews in here you are shocking. Managers and directors are nowhere to be seen. No business direction. Directors are more interested in investing in a bitcoin business rather than the staff that has been through some really hard and bad times at Nexus. Since the last managing director left 5 years ago there has been no appreciation to staff. Directors are not interested in taking the company forward. They even decline attending meetings with important clients. There is a reason why all the best engineers left to go and work for competitors.

Please consider that whilst you may disagree with the positive comments here, it is merely someone’s independent opinion, and regardless of whether you (or we) agree with it or not, it is exactly that, ‘an opinion’, and should be respected for what it is, in the same way as you would expect your opinions to be treated. Obviously we're disappointed with some of the content but at the same time, it's important to recognise that sometimes, as our company adapts and evolves to the constantly changing demands created within the technology industry and of our customers, not everyone will feel comfortable with our strategy and the degree of change that is necessary to continue to improve upon the delivery our trusted IT expertise to our customers.
