Pros

Their marketing is brilliant, making you, and customer believe that Nigel Wright are a reputable and professional firm.

Cons

Lack of foresight, or massive ego, leads them to think that they can do whatever they want with people's careers. I was sold a dream and then dropped like a hot potato when their plans didn't work out as expected. Management talked about being busy but did nothing visible to improve the situation for others in the business. HR talked a good game but didn't offer any constructive solutions to my questions.

Pros

the money is ok if you perform well but the more senior / director consultants have more earning power Some decent people when you strip away the machismo

Cons

It’s all about the money. Very salesy. Not consultative. Old school management. Haemorrhaging employees.

Pros

The promise and vision is there but it is not executed by the senior management team very well. Some of the offices/consultants do very well (a record 2017 for the business for example) and the investment (Private Equity, Baird Capital) is there with nice offices and a decent marketing support team. Excellent presence in the North East UK as a generalist recruiter and in the Nordics as a consumer recruiter but struggling elsewhere.

Cons

Very high turnover, in all offices. Just check LinkedIn for previous people who have (recently) worked there - swim and survive or sink, just a little, and you're out, without warning! Training used to be non existent so now all newcomers have a force fed training programme, no matter what level of experience you have. Senior Management lack the strategic, motivational and supportive skills to get the best out of their staff. Nigel Wright prides itself on some of the big brands they have worked with but many of these are historical lapsed clients that the haven't worked with for years. Oh and the management encourage longstanding members to write positive Glassdoor reviews.
