Pros
What was great about Nixplay is that they treat employees like family when things are going well. You can see that in some of the photos and socials uploaded by the marketing team or HR. Most of the people are pleasant to work with and they mostly care about helping the customer. The products offered to consumers are also nice to look at and copied by competitors.
Cons
As I said, the company is only as good as its cash flow. When things are good, people are treated well. When things go bad, people are thrown under the bus or pushed out in weird ways. So far does not affect our office but many people in the HK office deserve it. The company really likes to promote that the brand is for the family but they do not treat staff like family. They are good with promoting how they bring customers closer together but they should stop with the family angle. The only time they can play on the family element is if they mention the company being a private family business. Nixplay Signage is eating up more and more of the company's time and resources. They used to have some overlap with the consumer, but more of their products and software are becoming totally unrelated to it. Like almost no one in marketing wants to deal with them but they have to because the other past Signage Marketing team are miserable failures. Senior management keeps focusing on what the competitors are doing instead of what we can do and how we can improve. They spent a lot of money on very nice television commercials that did not do much just because a competitor did a commercial. They need to stop chasing and following others. Put money back into hardware and software.
