A stepping stone at best.

Pros

Mostly good people. Free coffee. Boozy Fridays.

Cons

Upper management have their heads in the sand. Zero transparency and extremely poor communication to lower levels. Micromanagement on the account side results in a serious waste of company time and resources, which trickles down to the rest of the agency. Tend to hire and hang on to 'big talkers' but not anyone who can actually do the work. Reviews, raises, and promotions are few and far between. Creatives are are the red-headed step children of the agency. The work that the agency produces is mediocre at best, and they are still barely crawling into the "digital age."

Toxic culture

Pros

Aesthetically pleasing office environment, opportunity to be a part of cool projects and work with interesting clients

Cons

Zero mentoring. They expect you to figure things out yourself with little to no guidance. The culture is toxic. It is not an enjoyable place to work because of the politics and the things that supervisors are allowed to get away with. The owner is a good guy, but he has no clue what is going on in the agency because he is busy pursuing passion projects.
