Business outlook
Pros
Despite the usual startup pivots and ups-and-downs, we always seemed to attract amazing people: people who were kind and humble as well as super smart and curious. It's what always made work rewarding for me. We also built some really great responsive web and mobile apps with an in-house Javascript framework that our lead engineers came up with. Way better than React imho.
Cons
On the flip side, because we had a lot of home-grown technology, our skills weren't as immediately transferable as if we'd been using the popular frameworks. But then again, we got a peek under the hood at the kinds of decisions and thought process that goes into creating the frameworks in the first place.
