Pros
-The pay is the only thing that kept me there
Cons
- No respect for your personal life ( i.e. questions you about why you want to use your paid time off, and if you going somewhere doesn't directly benefit them they'll turn you down) -A very close family member of mine passed away and I was given a talk about how I shouldn't have called in the next day. The manager said "We all go through hard times, but you can't let this take you away from your job." -Run primarily by friends, or family friends of the store manager. (At Ponderay location) - Unrealistic expectations of what 1 or 2 people can accomplish in a shift (i.e. an entire department reset.) -Punishment for calling out sick, or severely injured. A co-worker of mine got horribly injured and management handled it so poorly that I was genuinely afraid of losing my job if I ever got severely injured. -Managers will call you into the office on hearsay, or assumptions. (i.e. talking to you about what a co-worker saw you post on your social media) -Everyone will admit that they're happy to see you fail if it benefits them. - There is no opportunity to move up in the company unless you are friends or family of the store manager. -You're expected to put in over time to ensure a project gets finished, but they ask you to take long lunches to cut your time so that they don't actually have to pay you for your work.
