Good for beginning experience, Negative resignation though.
Pros
The control engineers during my time were often right out of college, so I feel like it's a place that's likely to take a person with little relevant experience if they have a related degree and are okay with the tiny town. They paid for related training and certifications for me. There were multiple social events/celebrations per year where you bonded with others in the company.
Cons
When I put in my two weeks, they informed me that my last day was that same day. Startups took me away from family for a little bit of extra compensation that I didn't feel was worth it. Especially because often my trips lasted significantly longer than expected (I had one that lasted around roughly a month instead of the estimated week), and required 12ish hour days onsite. My management told me that spending significantly extended hours in office in order to get a project out on time was doing what was expected, and was not going above and beyond.
