      Toxic work environment and leadership

      Pros

      Good benefits and pay, but NOT worth it.

      Cons

      Worked for Northpass for 7 months and while it started positively, it quickly took a very sharp turn for the worst after the company received venture capitalist funding. This caused extreme volatility and no one at the company felt safe because the CEO is trying to make material changes to roles, responsibilities, and procedures on seemingly a day to day basis. Management will befriend you and make you feel welcome only to completely blindside you in the end. Lastly, there have been SEVERAL key employees in management to leave over the last couple of months, showing the toxic work environment that is created here. Everyone is replaceable and that mindset permeates throughout the entire organization.

      Cons

      Toxic culture, no processes in place and there are no limitations on what will be put on your plate. Everybody is overworked! Gets extremely political in the office, and the sales team is SUPER cliquey. If the sales team doesn't like you, it's a big problem and your job won't be safe because leadership only cares about the sales team and will only invest their money and resources into the sales and marketing team because all they care about is revenue, nothing else. Leadership doesn't take advice from management. There is so much potential to be a good company if they established good strong processes and listened to management and cared to invest in other departments. The CEO is a joke. His Daddy is an investor in the company and also owns the office building so he forces everyone to be in the office. He pretends to care about his employees, but he really doesn't. Hes buddy buddy with the Director of Sales and will only listen and take advice from him.

      The engineering management at SchoolKeep is extremely dedicated to the personal growth of developers. This is displayed through the accessibility of senior engineers and their willingness to teach / mentor the rest of the engineering team.

      Cons

      Not too many perks as they are a relatively small company.
