Pros

On-time salary. The office is commutable from most areas in Chennai.

Cons

Zero professionalism. Employees are treated as machines and not as humans. You can't grow beyond agent or TL level. They will set unattainable targets so incentives are rare. But they will add that as variable pay so that your CTC looks beefy. There is nothing much to learn except in the first one or two months. The managers will swear at employees on the floor without consideration of their feelings. The work timings will change randomly and you won't have a say in it. They will say first Saturdays are off but you can't plan anything based on that as that may change any month and you will be threatened with LOP. You will be expected to extend whenever they want you to with no overtime pay. You can never settle down with the process because it will keep changing every month. HR is basically useless. They will play good-cop-bad-cop with your employment. You will feel like everyone hates you in the company and the customers will, too. You can't even think of a work-life balance as they will squeeze the life out of you and you will only be working like a rat in a wheel chasing an impossible treat. Every employee in the company is depressed at some level and the company doesn't care about improving the conditions for them. You can go there to make some money if you don't have anything else to do, but if you wish to have a career, please don't waste your time and energy here.

A Sour Experience

Pros

Not a challenging job, if that could be taken as an advantage.

Cons

> To begin with, "Zero Professionalism". > No challenge in the job, no value add; completely focused only on pushing out books; will trouble PMs to collect the pending payment and to make an up-sell. > Fancy title but it's a customer care - BPO - kind of a job (Job nature). > Only allowed to take bio-breaks, though they do not state it deliberately. > They work on alternate Saturdays from 9:30 to 6:30 and timings may extend but you will not be paid for Over Time and the working hours are not as per the government rules. > The Managers don't know their job and will conduct unnecessary meetings only to brag about themselves. > All the Senior (Just in their stay) PMs think the new joiners must act according to their whims and fancies; same goes with the Managers. > Not a good place for the fresher. > No one cares about books which are getting published. > Takes a long time to provide confirmation in the job for no good reason; and when you want to quit within the probation, they still ask you to serve a notice period for no good reason and with-hold your salary. > No ethical values. > No one is approachable when in time of need. > They don't offer your rightful days of earned leave. > Mobile phones are prohibited.

Hi, thank you for your feedback. We are sorry that you faced issues while working with us. We are working extremely hard to solve all of the issues that you had mentioned. To address some of your issues, 1. We do not work on alternate Saturdays 2. We have never with-held any salary for anyone 3. Confirmations are only held-up if an associate requires more training 4. We have an open-door policy where anyone can walk upto the founders to post a query. We also have implemented a company-wide social network for connecting people to solve issues faster 5. Mobile phones are prohibited as we are a content company and we deal with a lot of copyrighted material from clients 6. Leave applications are completely automated and there is no human intervention required
