Pros

Fantastic and rewarding job Varied and intense shifts Fantastic Managers Great Training and skills gained Nice salary exceedingly good cake making One staff member anger to taxi drivers 😂

Cons

They encorage a backstabbing culture Idle staff get rewarded and praised Bullying & cliques by above before service users. They will set you up to make you look bad ie sending you to wrong postcode for a laugh. Very stressful job emergency service staff should only apply Team Leaders clashed too much Too much new work taken on without hiring staff. Your job will change when you have had a day off literally!! Macdonalds left in SMaRT cars This job is GUARANTEED to make you FAT! Look at the staff pictures over time! Mentor was patronising. Learned more in 2 mins from a female staff member overlooked to train. Rota confusion someone always misses a shift at some point.

Thank you for your review on your time in employment with NCHA. We welcome constructive feedback, investigate and put measures in place to ensure the behaviour etc is not repeated. All team issues are addressed accordingly as and when they come to light to make it a conducive environment for everyone ; we'll look into the comments you've made about the team you worked with. In response to your statement on the culture of backstabbing, I must say that, NCHA strives for a culture of openness, honesty and transparency involving all employees. And as such recognises the importance of enabling employees to safely raise concerns of malpractice, negligence, abuse, criminal activity, fraud, regulatory failures, misconduct or wrongdoing by anyone in the workforce. Where any such concerns are raised they are dealt with properly and promptly. In a nutshell, we don't encourage back stabbing. As an organisation we are accountable for what we do and don't do and this culture of accountability is fostered in our staff as well.

Too many changes

Pros

Trust to get on with the job in hand, and little need to check in with line manager. Able to influence some structures and ways things are done.

Cons

Far too bureaucratic and departments not willing to work flexibly with each other. Far too many changes occurring with posts appearing to either be created for individuals or recruitment not being transparent and going to people whose face fits.

Recruitment is solely on the basis of the applicant's abilities and individual merit as measured against the criteria for the job.
