Sales - stay away

Pros

One of the water coolers dispensed cold water. Was able to work from home some and also enjoyed most of the people.

Cons

I worked in sales for over a year and and saw many sales people come and go. Direction, messaging and rules change almost weekly and the rules are different for everyone. CEO and family does not understand competition and looks at customers only as someone that owes them money. Sales is tuff when you can't find any references. When customers realize everything is a mess and find another system, full commission is charged back to the salesperson and your customer that you have worked hard to build trust with is sent to collections. Great racquet but not sustainable.

Pros

Very diverse and you get to work from home on some days because there aren't enough seats in the building. I have pictures of the inside of the building and if I had a place to attach them here I would.

Cons

NueMD is not a good place to work. I have worked for this company for many years and throughout my years of working here I've learned how to answer phones and be patient. This is not a corporate company, and therefore, the need for a degree is very little. You can get a job at this place straight out of high school. The building looks good from the outside, but once you get inside, there's water leaks, torn chairs, no air circulation and it's very small. Every day I have to find somewhere to sit, because they don't have enough room for all the staff. They hire based on looks and not experience. They don't do background checks, so if you have a criminal past, this place will definitely give you a job. The billers they hire are not HIPAA certified. Thus, they have tons of people accessing sensitive information with not one HIPAA Cert. They find ways to steal from their clients, like charging them for patient payments. The human resource department consist of people with no real HR background, so there are times when we don't get paid on time; during certain holidays, 'MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY' for example. This holiday never changes, so I'm not sure why they wouldn't know to process payroll before the holiday. The director has also made racists comments towards potential new hires. She's referred to one guy as a "red neck" and advised her staff that they may not like him for this reason. THIS PLACE IS A CIRCUS ACT! IF YOU WANT TO GET A GOOD LAUGH IN, THIS IS THE PLACE TO BE!

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback and for noticing our dedication to creating a work environment where diversity thrives. We’re disappointed to hear your experience fell below our standards, however, your feedback is an opportunity for us to improve. You'll be happy to know we do conduct criminal background checks on all new hires as well as routine background checks thereafter. Additionally, all of our professionally certified billers and any employee with access to Protected Health Information complete HIPAA certification annually. It's true - due to our continued success, we've outgrown the size of our current building. We’re happy to report we're shopping for a larger location to call our new headquarters. Again, thank you for your feedback and best of luck in your future endeavors.

Pros

I legitimately can't even think of any, but there's a 20 word minimum so I'm just trying to fill up space.

Cons

Total waste of time, especially for the interns. Interns, be warned: they will not attempt to guide or teach you, and your requests for more work will be ignored. Go some place where you can actually learn. They will tell you that you can't list their name as your employer on your LinkedIn profile because they're afraid that competitors will steal their employees. Those in middle management are largely inept and are not skilled enough to get gainful employment elsewhere. Others within the company who essentially started their careers here suffer from the same problem and will probably stick around forever. They spend most of their time on marketing and making videos for YouTube, and not enough time helping customers by building decent products. All in all, just not a good place to work unless you want a boring job with terrible bosses and nothing to show for it. Also, the pay sucks.
