Management heavy "sinking ship" lacking direction and focus.

Pros

Lot of good and undervalued people. Ability to learn industry needs and secrets. Agriculture industry will always have a future (people need to eat).

Cons

Company went into multiple transformations having leadership, strategy, technology, culture and talent issues. Too much politics everywhere. Marionette management is primarily relegated to operational issues. No teamwork, bosses will never stand for their employees. Absence of feedback loop back from top level. Lack of constrained strategic planning leads to unrealistic expectations. Huge trust and dependency of third party delivery partners (consultants) without any quality control leads to "sub-optimal" and questionable decisions. Plenty of talkers who feels threatened therefore trying to kill the competition by getting rid of doers/triers. - Personnel optimization - reduction without replacement, company is full of "survivors"; - Good employees escaping leaving empty desks behind; - Constant "firefighting"; - Encouraging strategy to play safe and stay low; - Demotivated, unhappy and bored people only seeking for opportunities to leave; - Issues remains unresolved for months; - No resources to do anything;

Pros

Agile, entrepreneurial. Rapid pace. Global

Cons

Old school thinking. Felt it was very male dominated with some objectionable practices that belonged to the last century. No real values upheld except to make money

Pros

Pleased to join on the tipping point of old stale traditional manufacturing culture is being replaced with much more agile and professional. Really hope enough resources can be put on the table to back up such a large scale transformation and avoid a disaster of people moving faster than organisation is able to resource. Leadership team is really backing up the transformation and themselves doing good at being distruptive and leading by example.

Cons

Still some large pockets of staff not willing to take ownership of what they do and expecting things served on a silver plate. Some accumulated change fatigue, which unfortunately frequently results in old blood being replaced by new. Perhaps can be minimised by being better prepared for the changes, starting from better strategising and planning for it - can only do that with helping more senior staff offload routine or low value tasks to more helping hands (need more junior staff, workplace experience etc). Most of on site facilities could really do with renovation, only one floor with modern open design and enough breakout rooms. Considering it’s in the middle of industrial park would be great to have good quality cafe on site with decent mini-mart - something like cotton on offices have would be terrific. Public transport is not really an option - drive to work only so more covered parking would be great too.
