Pros

The office was decorated nicely to lure unsuspecting young employees to their educational and spiritual deaths. Kevin appears to take a lot of care in replying to all the negative feedback he and Ste have both received.

Cons

Where do I start? This company is run off the backs of tens of "apprentices" being paid minuscule salaries who are learning absolutely nothing in the process other than how to cope with unprofessional bosses and office bullying. I witnessed Kev belittle, humiliate and patronise numerous colleagues in my time there. Ste is a far more passive manager who spends his quiet time formulating ways to pressure his staff into working overtime on a voluntary basis. The only reason they are getting away with this behaviour is because they insist on hiring school and college leavers (and often current school students) who do not know what sort of standards to expect from an employer. Nuttersons often attends recruitment fairs to keep a steady stream of eager, impressionable young people coming in to 'office open days' to top their very high turnover of staff and whilst at said recruitment fairs I was lucky enough to meet some excellent creative agencies in Manchester who informed me that Nuttersons was the resident laughing stock. They have absolutely no standing in Manchester as a reputable digital agency. Very unimpressive portfolio of work: their clients consist of Physio companies and the odd wedding invitation for mates. If you like making blog entries, making tea and listening to the babbling, incoherent ramblings of a ego-maniac who thinks he knows everything there is to know about marketing despite zero to show for it, then Kev and Ste are the ideal bosses for you!

Many thanks for your time leaving us a review. Thanks for coming to intern with us. I am sorry you found your bosses hard to deal with. With regards to your comments on caring more about the welfare of our staff I can only imagine this must relate to the time when we arrived in London at 11pm only to find out that the hotel had been booked for the wrong day! I was really embarrassed about this, and although we did manage to sort it out I appreciate we had three interns with us that didn’t get into their hotel room until 12.30am. As a result of this we have now recruited someone to oversee all our events. We are hopefully that we can continue to provide interns with the chance to continue to come with us to exhibitions, conferences and courses. We just need to make sure we get hotels booked for the right day. I’m aware that one of our Interns left the morning after the hotel problems. As a result they were only with us for a week and did not get to have an exit interview. If you missed out on giving your opinion please contact me to arrange an exit interview with HR. I will make sure you are treated to a nice afternoon tea if you are able to come into see us when you are next in Manchester City Centre. Kind regards, Kevin Parry Creative Director Nuttersons

Pros

I worked at Nuttersons as a Web Developer Apprentice October 2013 - September 2014. Nuttersons hired me shortly after finishing my A-levels. The first 6 months were awesome. They brought me in from a low-skilled, but passionate young person and built my character and web skills. I received lots of support.

Cons

How convenient that shortly after I handed in my resignation letting them know I'm quitting my job to go freelance (I'd started, and am still currently running my own web / graphic desing business), I get fired over 'drug allegations'. Absolute joke. I put blood sweat and tears in this company, I stayed long unpaid overtime hours, directly made the company thousands of pounds in clients I individually scored for them, and genuinely wanted to move the company forward. Could have easily fired me on the basis I'd clearly started my own company. I would've been totally cool with that.

Many thanks for the review. I am pleased that you received lots of support during your time at Nuttersons and it is especially pleasing to know that you feel your character developed as a result. As a company that seeks to develop in the development of all our staff it is great that we can have staff develop both in a personal and professional capacity whilst with us. Having the confidence to start your own digital agency at such a young age is something I admire. The dedication you applied yourself to all tasks was brilliant. I hope you appreciate all the opportunities you had to put your skills into practice. Wither talking to people at conferences or on the phone you were great. I am sure you will be successful at whatever you choose to do. Without wanting to go into too much detail about the allegations you mention. I recall that you were not fired, but rather choose to leave rather than stay for the remaining 6 weeks whilst we investigated the allegations. I agreed that this soured an otherwise great experience. I wish you all the best with whatever path you choose to take. Best wishes, Kevin Parry Creative Director
