Pros

Great benefits, great pay. Looks perfect on paper. Perhaps other units are different than the one I chose.

Cons

Specific staff members running department, childish favoritisms and bullying history of newly hired employees, ineffective communication between members of team, very little if any collaboration between staff members and a general attitude of "not my patient, not my problem " with priorities task-driven rather than patient's best interest or quality of care.

Pros

Use to be a nice lovely Catholic Hospital. Pay is alright. Employees are the best! Great Doctors.

Cons

Just bought out by a Hedge fund! Unhappy employees, low moral. Management sucks, too many changes and too many cutbacks! Very bad union contract with SEIU, they really screwed the employees and we can't get rid of them. This place is worse than the COUNTY hospital! I would not come here as a patient. Verity all about $$, rather cutback than focus on patient safety! I had plans of retirement with O'Connor but now am currently looking for new opportunity due to uncertainty of hospital.

Pros

Pretty good pay and benefits.

Cons

Disconnected management from workers. Working conditions were terrible. Our department had an extremely limited budget to the point that we didn't even have proper parts and tools to make effective repairs. 30+ year old hospital beds and equipment that you could no longer get support for from the manufacturers. My immediate manager was verbally abusive to many in the department, and HR did nothing about it in spite of numerous complaints from many.
