Pros

- Brett Curry was a really great boss for me personally. Learned a lot from him on how to be a better marketer and leader. I think he genuinely cares about people and is a good person. - The co-workers for the most part are really great people, collaborative, and smart. - Flexible work schedule, good benefits, opportunity for increased pay if you are a valuable employee.

Cons

- The culture is what made OMG so great to work at in the past. There was a conscious effort on prioritizing people over profit. In the past two years, this has been less of a priority. It started with layoffs that affected the most important people to the culture, such as the office manager, directors of each department, and when the COO left, the culture no longer felt like a priority. - As a result, employees began to burn out and become dissatisfied with the work, which led to more people quitting. - When employees quit however, due to the focus on profitability, their assignments were mostly just delegated to other employees rather than hiring new people - which led to more stress and work for everyone. - Some employees don't embody what the culture was/should be about. Whether it was berating others for perceived slights or having a negative attitude and energy at work, this also hurt the morale of others. - There didn't seem to be a clear vision for the future. We used to have a team structure of account managers, lead specialists, support specialists, and feed/conversion tracking specialists. Eventually the account management department was dissolved, with lead specialists taking on the work that was previously done by account managers. Then they introduced "Client Success Managers" as a somewhat replacement to account managers, which was also dissolved months later, with their work also being absorbed by specialists.

Disappointing dysfunction

Pros

Sadly, all pros are past tense, besides a select number of employees, but they seem to be leaving as well. Even the unlimited PTO has been less and less flexible.

Cons

Void of leadership at the departmental level. All directors were terminated, and the COO left to start a new company. The new directors are not true leaders or support, and the fractional COO has limited bandwidth and can't fix the owners' dysfunction. Toxic gossip and manipulation from the co-founder (including trying to find out who wrote negative reviews of the company) Cowardly leadership and toxic positivity from the CEO. Award-winning incredible culture has eroded into daily "what fresh hell will I experience today" Like another review mentioned, this used to actually be a world-class, best workplace. That OMG no longer exists.
