Pros

Took me a while before I finally got the chance to leave a review. Anyway, one of my fave pros of working with OOm is that I got to meet diverse types of people who later on became friends, and before I even knew it, we were like a family already. You work with a set of creative people who actually hone you to unleash your inner creativity as well, from the SEO team to graphic design and content. (Sorry to those not mentioned, that's probably 'cause I never got to work with any of you) If you're just starting in the industry, OOm is a nice company to work and start your career with. They can be your stepping stone because you learn a thing or two from the management, say, Arvie and the department heads. You can gain massive experience and work with a great team.

Cons

While there are heaps of pros, there's also a fair share of cons. I cannot stress enough how many times I wanted to leave the company because of the management and the heavy workload. I'm just fortunate enough to have a supportive team leader and colleagues (bless you all!) I honestly don't mind the salary, however, if you're the breadwinner in your family or have bills to pay, you may find the salary a little insufficient. IMO, I think it doesn't compensate enough for the workload. Not to mention that there's no HMO. Lastly, one issue that I think should be addressed is the management. They seem resistant to changes, addressing concerns, and keeping promises. Also, I hope the management keeps an eye on their employees, especially their physical and mental health.

Pros

Good place to work if you're desperate and out of a job. Has a pantry.

Cons

- No work life balance, expect to work till 11pm on weekdays, weekends, public holidays and even on your Leave days. - Be careful what you say and who you say it to as it can hinder your progression, do not trust the team leaders, they jockey for position with who has the most inside dirt on employees. - Favoritism is rampant, if you're not a team leader, don't bother joining. - The team leaders can't even guide you, you'll end up in situations where you actually know more about your job than they do and yet they are telling you what to do and how to do it. (A Good Leader, leads by example, not excuses) - High turnover rate for obvious reasons (Low pay, long hours, politics, too many to list.) - They tell you a lot about dreams for the company and future plans which include you, listen with an open mind but be careful not to be led on by their sweet words. Communication is far from being transparent. (They can't even be transparent with clients, don't expect them to do the same for employees) - Little to no department collaboration although it is required. - Sales team tends to oversell and over promise which trickles down the problems to other departments. - Handed down accounts from other leavers are in shambles, if you don't turn it around, it's you getting the reprimand, not the team leaders. The fault doesn't go upwards, it just stays at the bottom. - Don't try to fight against team leaders, you will lose even if you are right when your review or appraisal comes. Stay far away from here, unless you're desperate. Benefits are bad, bonuses are bad. Read the contract carefully and ask all the questions you want during the interview, you need to be well prepared. If you intend to pursue a career doing in-house marketing for companies, this company is not the right stepping stone for your resume. In-house marketers are all-rounders.

Pros

Nice people! Good for fresh grad to gain experience but not a place people will stay long for. New office at Somerset is nice. There is business unit outing every quarter. Give my stay a 2 stars. 1 star for the people/culture, 1 star for the office environment.

Cons

They implemented a lot of new policies like salary deduction for overspending of media budget and incentives clawback for accounts that drop or do not want to renew. People work very hard in the company but however these policies make the team feel like their hard work are not recognised but whenever something goes wrong, company make you pay for it even if it is not your fault. Very SME bosses kind of operation. With such mindset, the company can only be a SME forever. Not much benefit. You have to fork out your own money to visit the clinic.
