Good product idea, bad managment

Pros

- The product idea is good and relatively new. But there are plenty of competitors already in the market. - Nice office space, good lighting. - Office has employed a cook and all get 3-time food for free. - There are lots of books available at the office.

Cons

- Worst top-down and management culture with dictatorship. The management doesn't value other colleagues much. They treat people like resources rather than humans. - Team has iterated the same feature 3 times and not yet release the product to the users, and the focus is mostly on experimenting with different stacks and techs, rather than focusing on product-market fit. - CEO is first time co-founder, he likes to sit in a closed cabin and take care of his investments. Always preach about frugal concepts and do the opposite. like buying a car for him because his family is pushing to get married. - The company is located in Jayanagar, Bangalore. The office building and the stay are in the same building where the CTO also lives. Your company pays the rent to CTO and you pay the rent to CTO. It was really a good way to make passive income from your own company. - I was appointed in the leadership but all my decisions were disrespectfully ignored and altered to their personal benefit. - No work-life balance. Your work is your life here. - The entire founding team is gone because of the behaviour of the cofounders and how they treat their employees.

Hire and fire

Pros

Food served in office, Good salary, Some people were nice, Using latest tech stack

Cons

If you guys are really serious about your career I would suggest you not to join this organization. They will simply use you for a month or two and throw you out based on some nonsense feedback given by team lead who himself is not even experienced enough to judge you. As a fresher they will expect you to do everything by your own, you are not supposed to ask anything from your senior otherwise he'll get irritated and take it personally. That's exactly what hr told me when I was leaving the organization "Dude don't let ur seniors take things personally or else they will give bad feedback ", I mean seriously!!!

Pros

1. Many of the co-workers are great people. Left with good memories, thanks to them. 2. Always up-to-date tech stack - not necessarily a good thing every time but gives lot of room to learn 3. There is an excellent in-house cook who prepares every meal with care

Cons

1. It's an over-hyped product which is, at best, a good-to-have accessory and one you can do without - something I realised after I left. 2. Poor Leadership - the fact that so many people have left itself speaks volumes about the leadership, mainly the founders. After experiencing their unprofessional behavior first-hand I was convinced this was not the right place. STOP gaslighting employees ! 3. Most decisions are top-down and controlled by 2-3 persons max. Founders are clearly disconnected. 4. Lack of accountability and empathy towards employees 5. They will not be transparent with their feedback when you ask them and in the end, use it against you during negotiations. 6. Burnout Culture - hoarding people with tasks they have no expertise/ inclination for and then glorifying it as ‘hustle’ culture. At one point I was doing the work of 3 different roles despite being so underpaid and when I asked for what I rightfully thought I deserved, they did not even acknowledge it then applied shady tactics and manufactured a situation which affected my mental health until I finally decided to quit. 7. There is a technocracy problem here where the upper management thinks everything can be solved by using the latest and coolest tech - pls solve the bigger people management problem first. 8. They advertise 'tech equipment of your choice' on their website but only requests from certain ppl are entertained and the rest have to keep following up endlessly and still not manage to receive them
