      Pros

      The work schedules are very flexible.

      Cons

      Oasis is a great proponent of the LGBT movement for youth and young adults. The agency greatly promotes and supports this cause. Oasis makes every attempt to impose those views on staff members. Furthermore, employees are harshly penalized or face termination and labeled as being non-affirming for not sharing the sames views as the agency.

      Lots of available PTO, meaningful work with youth

      Cons

      When I worked there, leadership in my program was incredibly toxic and manipulative. There is an overall problem with salary structure. Oasis is happy to let full-time employees have to work two jobs just to pay their bills while adding new high level positions that pay $70,000+. Very high turnover rate.

      Residential Counselor at Oasis Center

      Pros

      The team truly feels like family. Everyone genuinely cares about how their coworkers are doing and I have always felt extremely supported in my role here. There are also lots of opportunities to move up. I started as an intern and am now a residential counselor.

      Cons

      It's a nonprofit so the pay isn't excellent, but that's about it.
