Pros

The pros are the cell phone discount and the gym discount.

Cons

Micro Managers - There are people in place as managers who have not had formal education. The folks possess the knowledge on how to do the job and not the skills to manage the people. Horrible Attendance policies - in regards to maternity leave & personal time off Ineffective communication - Changes that affect your job duties were not communicated from you immediate managers or supervisors. Cheap, cheap, cheap Horrible salary

Great to get your foot in the door

Pros

Met some amazing analysts and stakeholders that provided tremendous knowledge in the IT field. This job is great if you’re starting out and need to get your foot in the door. You will lose years off your life if you spend more than 3 years here. There is no true advancement for opportunity. The leaders are literally playing in your faces. Oh, wait these are supposed to be pros. My apologies. We get to work from home (for now).

Cons

Management clearly has loss all care. After May, that became abundantly clear that no one cares at all. Please keep in mind with the recent layoffs, the level of work has not changed. Meaning your workload will increase and it will be marketed as an “all team effort” please do not allow yourself to be overworked, strung out, burnt out. It is not fair to yourselves. It almost feels like you’re being gaslit day in and day out. Made to think you’re the crazy one for believing you’re overworked. I get told lies and tales about pay raises, additional certifications, career advancements. Using the mere fact that I’m overworked as a reason I don’t deserve such things. Do not work here. I’m clearly fed up.

Pros

Probably the most high tech medical center in the area. Will accept patients with the most serious medical issues. Great place to gain experience in some departments. The organization has expanded across the region possibly offering transfer positions to other affiliated centers

Cons

Too many to say in one paragraph unfortunately. Where the institution was once an enviable place to work and more than often in the Best Places To Work in the area, they have LOST this distinction in both polling and in my personal opinions. Their decision to accept a GE model for taking care of patients has caused an impersonal patient experience, disgruntled employee attitude with low morale, and an unhealthy exodus of some of their most valued and experienced clinicians often due to unscrupulous management decisions with deceitful accusations. Interestingly, many employees that have been trouble makers for years are maintained at a lower pay range, surprise surprise. Furthermore, management continues to change often and a lack of consistent policies are apparent even angering the employee more so. The ship is sinking as management with MBA's slap themselves on the back for saving money while employees are often overworked an remain under paid relative to other centers in the area.
