Toxic and performative culture. Old mean girls

Pros

From the moment I interviewed it was clear that I was dealing with a bunch of mean old women who peaked in high school and college. For a company that barks all day long about being “fast paced” the interview process is long and drawn out.

Cons

These people live to work rather than work to live. An extremely toxic culture where you feel the need to prove yourself rather than be celebrated. It all feels performative and out of touch. Also if you are a person of color, goodluck joining this team.

Pros

Free snacks & casual attire

Cons

The longer I’m away from this place, the more I realize just how awful of an experience it was to work here. To say the company culture is toxic, is an understatement. Regardless of how hard you work, you’re completely undervalued. They place no investment in their employees, which is proven by their ridiculously high turnover. The definition of a “mean girl” was inspired by these people, truly some of the fakest people I’ve ever met. It’s impossible to complete the number of tasks expected during work hours, so expect to work (unpaid) overtime more days than not. Speaking of pay, it’s well below average. For anyone considering working here, please let it be your absolute last option. I’d never felt so mentally beaten down than I did throughout my time with Ocozzio.
