Pros

Flexible working, and good holidays

Cons

Elitist, senior people have similar backgrounds, lacking diversity especially in Senior roles. Typical Senior Civil Service. Good opportunities if you fit the profile background. Also not doing the job it is supposed to do.

Poor management

Business outlook

Pros

An easy life - amount of work easily managed, no responsibility, some nice people, office comfortable

Cons

Ofqual prefer to recruit from outside - promotions are for those who are like the recruiter meaning there is a lack of diversity. If you are not a manager you are invisible and don’t feel valued - there is a grade snobbery. Performance related bonus is a tool for rewarding at senior level but made impossible for anyone else to achieve, development opportunities are not open to all, senior management have all the right words but nothing behind it
