Corporate and regional management doesn't care about you. When I got the job they told us all that we were going to be given 40 hours a week. What they soon discovered was that we weren't going to get as much business in the new location as they expected, so they started cutting hours. What made me most upset is that they picked the specific workers who couldn't or wouldnt progress in the company, and attempted to make them quit by giving them write ups and using disciplinary action without specific reasons. They would tell us that our performance was insatisfactory but wouldnt give a specific reason. Near the end of my time at the job, they recomended my boss to suspend me because "my performance was not improving". my boss disagreed and refused. they couldn't give a good reason on why they wanted to. I just think its because they wanted someone to quit as to increase hours. The management was terrible and disorganized. Because we were opening a new location, they would send managers from other shops every week, to help open the shop. Each manager had a different method of completing things and would tell us we were doing our jobs wrong. They would usually report us to the higher people saying we weren't doing our jobs right. We would change our method to match theirs, but then the next week, a new manager would come and do the same thing again. They dont pay commission for sales even though they ride us to sell things, they pay less than other oil changing businesses and they just over all dont value their workers. If you are planning on working in Caldwell Idaho, dont. Jose the manager is the most difficult person to work with that have ever met in my entire life. Billy the regional manager for idaho and utah and his boss kevin are very fake. They tell you that you are doing a good job but then tell your boss to suspend you behind your back. Work for valvoline or somewhere else.
