Pros

If you are just getting started in the Finance industry, you might get some learning experience.

Cons

1. Absolute Lack of Culture: I worked there for 4-5 months, and I am not exaggerating; I have not had more than a 2-minute conversation with leadership or my managers. You notice a proper hierarchy in the office, and as an IRA, you are bottom of the food chain and do not feel welcome/included. 2. They will have office lunches, but you will be excluded. 3. They are in the robot hiring business; they need someone willing to make 25 calls/hr to shareholders for 8 hours straight every day for 5 days. 4. first 4 days of training are the only time you will learn something new. 5. The job description is a lie, No analytical projects, no ad-hoc -projects, no data entry projects. you are there to make calls(for which you have to use your phone, btw)and nothing more. 6. NO performance-based incentives to encourage you to perform better

Pros

Something to put on resume

Cons

slave wages, if you're a phone monkey, you really just expected to stay in your own lane and not ask any questions. I don't have a single clue what the people in the department next to me does. In order to move up you need to be going into the office making at least 200 calls a day for 7 months, at which point you will be able to make the same phone calls but also train people on how to make the phone calls.
