Unprofessional

Pros

Free golf and beautiful views

Cons

Working for a GM who never leaves their office and a “leadership” group that shuns accountability and standards is exhausting. I have never worked for a worse group of management than what Newcastle has to offer. Stay very, very far away from this company. Unprofessional doesn’t even begin to scratch the surface of what’s happening here.

Pros

Pretty lax working environment, very casual dress and no set schedule. Just make sure your work is completed. Nice co-workers. Free parking, good location to freeway.

Cons

Upper management has no interest in getting to know the employee's, especially at courses. Benefits are truly disgraceful. The golf benefits should be excellent you'd think. Having to be present on the course to use the benefit, and not able to use during peak season, makes it nearly impossible to utilize. Smart.

Shameful

Pros

Interacting with the loyal "regulars" who love to golf the property. Greeting customers who are happy to be there to play a round, contributing to their positive golf experience.

Cons

The corporate office, as small as it is, practices a philosophy of distance between themselves and their properties / employees. Support for long-term employees is viewed as a financial liability, so longevity is not encouraged. Tyranical management style that believes in summary punishments without vetting situations, circumstances, but does believe in embellishments, fabrications.
