Pros

Convenient location, pay and benefits are decent

Cons

Terrible professionalism, highschool-style office environment (gossip, clicks, dog eat dog, etc.) This is not a place you can be proud of, unless running over and throwing co-workers under the bus works for you. The company does not train any level of management on how to supervise or manage, instead just promotes to position w/o the formal training needed to handle people pf diff. genders, ages, and /or races. Very male-dominated company, with a very aggressive, and sometimes volatile environment. Really keeps you uneasy, unless you become part of the many small clicks within (smh).

Pros

Company fundraisers were fun. That's it.

Cons

The management team only takes care of themselves. They are known for harassing female workers. Corporate HR used to warn new female employees about the younger brother of a current corporate executive. This is very true and scary. They constantly crack jokes about taking money from their German customers, since many of the executives are Jewish. Olympic Steel and Integrity Steel take care of those in the tribe. If you are Jewish, you will be taken care of. Executives and managers get high bonuses while they take advantage of others. They also rack up expenses above $100k a year, a lot for personal use. One is known for flying to Chicago to visit family, but calls it business. Does the same to visit friends in California. They ask you to not take vacation time. During pandemic, they threatened that if you do not perform better than usual, you will be fired. The older executives semi-retired. One of them would constantly make inappropriate jokes about women, but now they are grooming his son Zach to take over. The President's call each Monday consists of overpaid men talking about what the rest of the company is doing to inflate their bonuses. The company pays for the upper level golf memberships. They usually leave work early to golf, while the rest of us stay and work late -- since that is what is asked of us.
