Terrible Workplace

Pros

4 day working week 9 months of the year

Cons

Corrupt with nepotism. Rooted in white saviourism and totally closed to any suggestion of change or improvement. Built by a team of friends who fire anyone who goes against them. Ruthlessly biased, take no account of due processes and saddle those leaving with an NDA so they cannot talk about it. No reliable or trained HR team. A huge waste of a great concept.

Pros

Good opportunity for recent grads who want to gain professional experience. The Summit is amazing, although very intense, and you get good training and development for a first year out of uni with a relatively good work/life balance. It's a supportive, friendly team and you get given a pretty good level of responsibility to get involved in interesting projects. It does feel very impactful and you meet amazing young people in the community who are really inspiring, so you can learn a lot about social impact around the world which is helpful for careers in international development.

Cons

It's a small organisation for how much work gets done - people always say they imagined our team would be bigger. It is a high performance vibe and it can be a bit uncomfortable when people aren't in that mindset as managers on the whole seem more used to people who buy into the mission and work really hard. Most people aren't allowed to work from home. Some people who were neurodiverse found the office environment really wasn't for them. It's very desk-based and the area of London is quite noisy.
