Fear, bigotry and poor business decisions.

Pros

As with any workplace, you’ll meet great people and make friends. This seems to be amplified at One & All, however this bond could be attributed to the fact that you and your co-workers have experienced workplace trauma together.

Cons

I’m writing this review in the hope that it will help prospective employees make a wise employment decision and that, one day, One & All will change. If you choose to work at One & All you will experience the following: 1. Fear - you will live with the persistent fear of lay offs - regardless of performance. In the past 2 years at One & All we went through 6 rounds of significant lay offs. This was during a time of rapid economic growth. 2. Bigotry - that is, unless you’re a Caucasian, Christian male. You will experience this in pay, advancement and ideas/expertise being valued. During my tenure I watched discrimination occur against women and people of color. 3. Poor business decisions - this agency lacks a sense of vision. I don’t know if there is a lack of vision from leadership or if they don’t trust employees to build and carry that vision with them. This lack of vision had led to a domino effect of bad business decisions that have impacted the retention of good clients and employees. If you do take a job here, negotiate your salary at what you’d like to make 2 years down the line. You will not get a raise commensurate with any new role you take on at the organization.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know how you experienced the agency. Glassdoor is an outlet for current and former employees to give their personal opinions, we accept that. We also accept that when we have to make decisions to let people go for lack of performance they will often leave unhappy and at times angry about the decision that was made. We accept these situations can also end with reviews like this. We can take it. We are an agency serving nonprofit clients that are changing the world and they deserve the best so we will continue to hold people accountable to performance standards. Layoffs? Yes, we had a big merger when two agencies became one. Staffing adjustments were necessary as we had a redundancy of positions. It was hard and now we're through it.

Pros

The people. Have made potentially life-long friends here.

Cons

Everything else. This place is a hollow shell of what it once was. This agency is the combined former Russ Reid and Grizzard. A "merger" happened in which multiple flawed, more complicated technologies and processes were implemented just because they were cheaper; not because they were the right thing to do, either for the people that work here or for executing the work the right way to be able to deliver on our promises to our clients. Extremely talented employees are abandoning ship because they can't stand it anymore. Entire departments have been completely decimated by turnover, which leads to more mistakes. Pay is extremely low, especially for those living in the Los Angeles area. Employees are overworked, underappreciated, hardly ever rewarded, and management is not doing enough to fix the problems.

Thank you for your honest feedback. The merger between two legacy agencies has indeed had its rough patches, as many mergers do. We’re working hard to get to the other side of the integration so One & All can continue doing the important work we do for our clients.

Be African Americans: RACIST Company

Pros

The company does great work for Non-Profits across the country to help organizations in their fundraising efforts.

Cons

I do not have many great things to say about this company (the Atlanta office specifically) , because as a black person my experience was much different than a typical employee. I worked for the company for over two years. No diversity in leadership. No black men are hired to work there. Black women are hired but never promoted. I witnessed, White and non black people of color with equal or less experience and education come in and train under Blacks, and then get promoted over them. Black people are worked like factory workers behind a computer screen, while non black people are given the credit and acknowledgement. HR does not help. They pretend to take notes on reported cases and discard of them after each meeting. BEWARE African American professionals!! This is not the company to work for. Especially if you want to advance within your career.
