Pros

Some of the employees are kind and intelligent.

Cons

Warning for job seekers, OneWest Bank is for sale. Most employees are under an inaccurate impression about this, but it is definitely for sale. I would be cautious, because I can't imagine it will be easy for any current employee to sustain their employment - let alone a new employee. OneWest is ran by incredibly incompetent senior management, most are inexperienced and simply "don't know what they are doing." I would stay away from this organization, and look for employment in a steady, successful bank.

Not a great place to work.

Pros

The only pros is having benefits from this place.

Cons

If your looking to grow in this company you can just don't expect to get a pay increase unless you move up to managment. If you start at a teller position and you move on up to the next teller level you won't get a pay increase so you will be working harder, have more responsibilities, and get more stress for the same pay. As far as being a relationship associate you will be doing the same money market campaign every quarter. The only thing they change is the name of the campaign. They only focus on existing clients to bring in new money and not trying to bring in new clients. So Onewest bank only cares about themselves and not the employees nor the clients.

Good Corporate Job

Pros

Good pay. Employees are very nice-I have great relationships with lots of people. Mean age I'd say is early 40's with families. Pretty healthy leadership culture. Decent Benefits.

Cons

Really white collar corporate culture (i'm not into that..). No real raises. Employees are usually at unease because of how fast the company gets bought out. People leave quite often. Long hours. Unpaid lunches.
