Pros

Salary good, RRSP contribution, phone bill, regular benefits.

Cons

After acquisition of Trinimbus, everything, but everything include Culture from Trinimbus was destroyed by new management. You cannot trust to any word, on first day new management said this is for grow, we will hire more people, and next day they fired few guys and stop hiring. Hiring resumed after 3 months. Management force to use internal developed tool to automate and not to use open source automation tools. Work from home very limited. Guys from Support forced to work oncall during nights with unclear compensation if any. People from Marketing, Sales, PSO, Suppor, all complaining for bad changes in the company. First is money, people last.

Pros

There is little on pros side, I guess if you don't have any place to go this could be a place for you. This is the common though among employees.

Cons

Before you join this company there are a few things you need to be aware of. First thing is that the name of the company is different than what is advertised. Actual name of the company is K-Micro. The company has 2 remaining practices on AWS and Microsoft that are segregated form one another. AWS team has 4 or 5 members remaining full time. Management of the AWS is highly unprofessional with little experience in work environment and no experience in actual management. The company has been late for regular pay of the employees at times and is never on time and transparent about commission payouts. Most of the active projects have been open for too long, left unfinished with customers paying in advance. None of the customers ever returned for further business due to low quality of service and unprofessional customer support.

Pros

Onica was an agile, at some times chaotic, proserv start up company that offered a lot of room for growth and creativity. There were some inspirational leaders and intelligent folks working there.

Cons

Once acquired by Rackspace the culture shifted - those leaders who were comfortable putting others down and getting ahead at all costs were in greater positions of power. Leaders who really looked out for their teams were pushed out.
