Pros

Benefits package is great considering that it is a not for profit. Teams are putting efforts in improving processes, teamwork and communication. Flexibility (2 days in office)

Cons

Office location is good but the unit needs a more modern and dynamic set up. After many years in the organization, for some employees it is difficult to absorb changes.

Good when they need you, not when they don't

Pros

Good place to work when there's a budget and economy is doing well.

Cons

In a poor recession economy the budget cuts are real and layoffs are by the masses. You're pretty much salary capped from the start and unless you suck up to upper management you won't see promotions or anything of the sort in years to come. Would prefer to hire external consultants and convert them to full time employees.

Toxic Workplace

Extra vacation days which are sorely needed to recover from the toxic environment

Cons

Very toxic culture, backstabbing badmouthing colleagues, managers insulting and berating employees in meetings. Doing good work here gets you nowhere. Bullying goes completely uncontrolled. Nasty attitudes, employees who don't want to help, just complain all day. Unfair pay structure. Favoritism and promotion of the most undeserving and horrid individuals. Rats and roaches rampant in a filthy disgusting office. Theivery happening as well, poor security crackheads walking in from the street.
