Pros

The Marriott points was the best thing of the job

Cons

The salary was well below industry standard, the micro management was 8/10 I've seen worse. But the arrogance of the company believing they are untouchable. Their view of their retail partners is as follows Don't support the stores, tell them your missing out cause we're just gonna drive customers to your competitors. As a pet food company they frowned upon supplying a even a sample bag. Support for the field sales is lacking and sales goals to unlock bonus payouts are unachievable.

Pros

I have had a great experience working at Open Farm. The company is truly mission driven and committed to doing the right thing, not just in marketing but in how products are sourced, how decisions are made, and how teams operate. It is refreshing to work somewhere that genuinely cares about sustainability, quality, and transparency. The growth here is real, which creates strong opportunity. If you enjoy building, improving processes, and having a voice in the business, you will thrive. There is strong collaboration across Ecommerce, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other teams. Your work does not sit in a silo and you can clearly see the impact it has on the business. Leadership is accessible and open to ideas. High performers are given ownership and trust, which makes it a great environment for ambitious and motivated people who want to accelerate their careers. The culture is hardworking and supportive. Teams care about outcomes and they also care about each other. Being able to see and occasionally meet everyone’s pets is an added bonus. Pros: Mission driven, strong growth trajectory, high ownership, collaborative culture, meaningful work. Cons: It is a fast paced environment, so you need to be comfortable with change and ambiguity, but that is also part of what makes it exciting.

Cons

It is a fast paced environment and priorities can shift quickly. As a growing company, some processes are still being built which can create ambiguity. Resources can feel lean at times, so teams are expected to operate efficiently and wear multiple hats. High expectations for performance and accountability may not suit someone looking for a slower pace.

Pros

The company culture is outstanding—collaborative, supportive, and grounded in mutual respect. People are encouraged to bring their full selves to work, share ideas, and grow without fear of being shut down or overlooked. There’s a strong sense of trust across teams, and it actually feels like everyone is working toward the same goal rather than competing internally.

Cons

Like any fast-growing company, things move quickly but leadership is open and communicative through change
