Pros

There were many dedicated staff who really cared about their jobs and tried their best under very difficult and demoralizing conditions.

Cons

This employer has a well earned reputation for low pay ( even for a nonprofit), low morale, and poor training. What they do have lots of is employee turnover, but they seem not to care. The attitude is " if you don't like it, don't let the door hit you on the way out." Communication is very poor and the management is extremely secretive and distrustful, not at all inclusive. Working there is like a step back in time, many steps actually. I never worked in a place with so many disgruntled employees. It seemed that nearly everyone that had been there for 2 years or more was looking to leave, with just a few exceptions. They have lost many talented and dedicated people.. It's a real " us vs. them mentality. As people leave, they often are not replaced, they just pile on more work for those who have not yet left. And so the cycle continues.

Pros

The coworkers are very supportive and friendly. Some office area staff go out of their way to communicate and keep you informed of office policies and changes. Enjoyed working with the all the consumers, many businesses, agencies and school staff.

Cons

Way too many expectations, duties, responsibilities and insurmountable work for the amount of pay. Management does not share important changes and information. They often look at personel as unimportant and pass on blame or taking credit rather than working together on team solutions. Company training is very low.

You’re either in or you’re out.

Pros

It’s a job... it doesn’t pay the bills but it will keep you busy. They showed me everything I do not want in an employer

Cons

Lied to at interview, promised things that never came. If you work for them there are two cliques, the higher ups and the little people. And you’re either in with the higher ups or you’re out. No one cares to make sure you have the proper training to complete the job and no one cares when you offer helpful suggestions. No one offers to help you when they see you make mistakes.
