Pros
There were many dedicated staff who really cared about their jobs and tried their best under very difficult and demoralizing conditions.
Cons
This employer has a well earned reputation for low pay ( even for a nonprofit), low morale, and poor training. What they do have lots of is employee turnover, but they seem not to care. The attitude is " if you don't like it, don't let the door hit you on the way out." Communication is very poor and the management is extremely secretive and distrustful, not at all inclusive. Working there is like a step back in time, many steps actually. I never worked in a place with so many disgruntled employees. It seemed that nearly everyone that had been there for 2 years or more was looking to leave, with just a few exceptions. They have lost many talented and dedicated people.. It's a real " us vs. them mentality. As people leave, they often are not replaced, they just pile on more work for those who have not yet left. And so the cycle continues.
