Pros

Great clients to work with.

Cons

-Toxic anti man environment -doesn't care about single fathers especially when it comes to doing schedule, they will take your hours away from you while not giving I damn about what you're going through. - they will do nothing about toxic people being vindictive and condescending. -the biggest con ever.... When my wife died in my arms 2 co-workers donated a total of 180hrs of PTO so I could spend time with my two kids, the donated PTO was denied and the only reason I received was "it went against company policy". A company for mental health denying donated PTO hours to a newly widowed single father doesn't sound very pro mental health. Apparently it's company policy to say "are you going through a traumatic experience? Let's put salt in the wound and blame you" I would let my worst enemy with here. This place screwed me outta thousands of dollars. DO NOT WORK HERE!

Pros

The clients, or as corporate insist we call them, "customers", are amazing people who I enjoyed supporting and helping. My coworkers were wonderful as well, but it all falls apart at the corporate level

Cons

Corporate 100% does not care about the success, safety or sobriety of the clients. The houses are absolutely disgusting and run down, some do not even have AC or basic appliances. They keep people well past the point they need a higher level of care, which jeopardizes their recovery and the safety of the community and their housemates. I know for a fact many clients' paperwork is barely skimmed through by higher ups before accepting them. Hiring is a joke, they take anyone and punish those who actually care and enjoy their work. So many clients were sexually abused by female staff and they were given the option to resign, charges are never pressed. Numerous violations and serious concerns about the safety and living environment of the people in the community program to the point it feels like a massive liability being involved. Don't ever voice your concerns about corporate, living conditions to a case worker, or the company president. I was targeted for voicing said concerns and then overworked, bullied, and eventually terminated for not being able to keep up with an impossible workload while the higher ups made sure to issue bs write ups for late reports while turning a blind eye to literal abuse from staff

Serious Concerns

Pros

My coworkers are amazing! If you stay for 5+ years , you get A LOT of vacation.

Cons

I am surprised employees haven’t been a strike or set any attempts to unionize yet. All of the employees are underpaid and overworked. The CEO wants to open new facilities but has no desire to make things better with the current ones. They need to seriously look at having better benefits and pay for everyone. Having a 410k matching, IPERS, and pension plan I think would help them hire people. There are also growing concerns about the clinical supervisor ( in the mental health department) having serious memory concerns and that he can no longer do his job duties.
