Pros

Nice handicap stall in bathroom. Disabled friendly. The break room has 3 spacious refrigerators. Upper management has the potential to be useful if entirely redesigned. Really breathable because so much empty space and unused cubicles.

Cons

The workload would be tolerable if cut in half, and then cut in half again.... and then probably again. Maybe. There's room for advancement if you have no interest in advancing. 1960 Wall-street wants their computers back. And phones.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us feedback. We are saddened to know that you did not have a good experience during your time at Optimize Social Media. Our team does our best to provide a great work environment and valuable experience for employees to help further their personal and career development. The workload for our Social Media Managers is to hold 50 accounts, which has always proven to be achievable through our years of experience as a company. Some of our most tenured SMMs have proven to hold 80+ accounts, which of course comes with experience and organizational skills. We do take employee feedback seriously. Unfortunately, your advice to management does not offer anything viable that we can address and improve on. We do hope that in your next position, you take the time to speak with your Supervisor or Manager about your frustrations as we would have been more than happy to help address them and give you more tools or training so that you could be successful. We wish you the best in your future endeavors.

Pros

Working with awesome young individuals.

Cons

Completely micro managed. They'll roll out processes before they even know what'll happen. 50+ account workload for little pay.

Thank you for your feedback. Since we work with platforms that change weekly (sometimes daily) we are forced to implement changes quickly across all departments. It is always our intention as a management team to roll out processes that will make our employees’ lives easier. We apologize for not meeting those expectations. Our account load is based on years of experience and some of our tenured SMMs are able to manage 60, 70, 80+ accounts by adopting our processes. Those tenured SMMs make well above the national average! We’ve worked very hard to give our employees perks, benefits and training so that they can grow as a people and professionals. In addition to our 2-week digital marketing training for new employees, we have built up a library of books that our employees can take home and read at any time free of charge and we have introduced perks such as medical & dental insurance over the past few years. Our SMMs have also had their duties pared down in that timeframe! Some of those duties that have been taken off the SMM plate include: - Setup of platforms and accounts now handled by dedicated Setup Team - All graphic creation handled by dedicated Graphics Team - In the process of turning all additional advertising over to dedicated Ad Specialist Team Thanks again for your valuable feedback and we wish you the best.

Thank you for leaving us feedback. We appreciate you taking the time to list out pros, cons, positive and negative experiences. It helps us identify which policies and processes are most important to our co-workers. Having a positive mental attitude and caring about the company are two very important assets, but SMM success is the result of building great relationships with each of our clients. Organization is a key part of that and so is making phone calls. We have recently updated the job description to be clear about job duties like phone calls, ROI discussions and reporting and we did have each employee sign that job description so that it was understood which duties are most important. The Culture Committee was a great idea that unfortunately had to take a back seat when we started losing social media managers. We do value the contributions that were made by the Culture Committee but at that time we needed to concentrate on finding good homes for our clients and accounts who had no social media manager. We are still working to implement the Culture Committee idea because we understand how important internal feedback is. We have also recently restructured so that our tenured SMMs are able to specialize in areas that will help them grow personally and professionally. We just opened up 5-10 new positions on the SMM floor and are happy to say that we hired from within for each of those. Thank you very much for your valuable feedback. We wish that OSM was a place that you wanted to stay, but we also wish you the best in all your future ventures.
