Absolutely the most toxic work environment I've ever encountered.

Pros

Someone who is new to the field might get good experience with challenging clients; certainly can be a good place for someone who hasn't found a challenge elsewhere.

Cons

Very hostile management, arbitrary policies, clients and staff all seem miserable. I was a site manager for over a year and turnover was higher than other jobs I've had.

Pros

Higher pay than many group homes. I would recommend possibly to someone in college looking for experience in mental health/ social services and then to be able to get a better job after graduating.

Cons

This company seemed to be all about the money and didn't follow their rehabilitative model as most clients were not expected to step down to a level of more independence. Hard work and don't expect to feel appreciated. Sometimes dangerous, inappropriate, and highly challenging clients.

Pros

Could be good entry level job for social work and medical profession, such as gaining knowledge and experience in dealing with clients with physical and psychological needs.

Cons

Clients can become verbally and physically abusive. Sites are often times unsafe, and turnover among staff is high. Supervisors also act in unprofessional manner toward personnel and are not always capable of managing sites properly.
