Orbisk is an inspiring place to work. The leadership is approachable and genuinely supportive, the team is collaborative and driven, and the culture is open, energetic, and mission-focused. The technology is cutting-edge and delivers real impact in reducing food waste making it rewarding to be part of the journey.
Cons
It’s always easy to point out issues, but I honestly haven’t experienced any cons during my time here.
The company cares about its people and its mission, which is something I specifically sought out after working at a massive company as another cog in the machine. Our teams are small but interconnected, allowing everyone's voice to be heard.
This is a place you can take the time to understand what is happening and effectively put yourself in a place to make changes which make both your life, and the those around, better in the workplace itself; not to mention the companies we look to help around the world.
Cons
There is sometimes confusion around decision-making and responsibilities. This is all done with everyone's heart in the right place but highlights some issues you can face while working at a startup.
Financial compensation is not as much as you would make at a larger company. There is only so much room for a young company.
This is specifically counteracted by a focus on good working conditions and freedom within your role.
- You are partnering up with a fun & motivated team to work with!
- The mission of Orbisk makes my day-to-day feel extremely purposeful.
- There is lots of space to learn & grow, and create impact.
Cons
- Orbisk is the phase of rapid growth, which implies there are processes to be created or fine-tuned (personally, I don't see this as a con, but I can understand this could be a dealbreaker if someone is looking for a super structured environment).
