Horrible Environment & Experience

Pros

Could be a great opportunity in terms of experience and portfolio/resume building, you can start with a significant title like "Manager" or "Director" but it's simply not worth it

Cons

CEO is destructive to the company. VERY quickly revolving door, people can barely stay employed for a year. Constant negativity, CEO and EIC are always in disagreement with one another making it impossible for an employee to prioritize work and accomplish anything of quality. Severe micromanagement, your phone will be ringing every 3 minutes with upper management asking how much you've accomplished but then piling more work on. You will not receive training and will be expected to understand everything on the first day, then treated like you're incompetent if you don't understand something. There is no team, typically one person is responsible for all the work in their department and CEO has little, if any understanding of the amount of work that goes into your job or the time is takes to do something.

Pros

Amazing Editor-In-Chief, co-workers, writers and clients. These people made working her bearable.

Cons

No trust from the CEO & Founder. She has to be in control, doesn't listen to opinions or advice, places unrealistic expectations, goals and deadlines on you, forces you to lie to clients about social & email numbers as well as advertising numbers. + No Training + Minimum Pay + Revolving door of employees + No Budget for promo of the magazine but Founder expects new subscribers and social media followers. + CEO & Founder is Unprofessional
