      Great product, tough market, lacking leadership

      Pros

      The VR modules that we create are top-tier and are proven to be effective training tools that decrease the time it takes for users to become proficient in surgical techniques. The work feels meaningful and, if the market adopts the technology, the technology will change healthcare training for the better.

      Cons

      While the product is amazing, development takes a while and the market is tough. Medical device companies (our primary clients) are not willing to pay for the true cost of development, leadership is slow to address employee concerns and quick to say yes to client "demands" at the expense of development teams, project scope, and, ultimately, their own bottom line.

      Pros

      Unlimited PTO that was actively encouraged to be used, alot of holiday time off and were extremely flexible when emergencies came up. The people were amazing to work with, everyone was willing to help you and provided constant encouragement. I truly miss working with the people there.

      Cons

      Lack of communication on part of leadership as well as stagnating on product development, we went two years with hardly any new work coming through the pipeline, everyone below upper management was left in the dark leading up to the two mass layoffs, but we were being told that the board of directors was ready to fully support us and that layoffs weren't on the immediate horizon. I loved working here but I cannot recommend anyone within the 3D or medical illustration industry work here were a spot to open until something is done to change the outlook, you may end up getting laid off the following year anyway.
