      Some really good people work there

      Cons

      Communication is awful, management never questioned / held accountable, no opportunities to develop or progress, if you are treated badly by your manager no one will help, equality & diversity is not taken seriously, environmental issues are ignored.

      Pros

      The people are what makes Oundle School such a great place to work. It is a real community with a lot of committed, hard working and friendly staff. The School has a caring ethos and treats staff fairly and with respect. Great benefits including free lunch during Term time and access to the gym and swimming pool.

      Limited opportunities for career progression for non-teaching staff.

      Pros

      School Holidays & job security & for people who are off ill a lot, sick pay.

      Cons

      Too many managers & not enough staff. Poor communication. Unfair pay scale. As minimum wage goes up other levels of pay remain the same meaning the gap is closing & chefs & supervisors are not paid much more than assistants. Too much in house promotions of people who lack experience & skills through unfair interviews rather than promoting people through merit. If you're a worker, the more you do the more you're expected to do until you reach breaking point where as if you do the bare minimum you'll be looked after and pampered to.
