      Pros

      You have a lot of flexibility and opportunities for taking on visits. The office team is incredibly helpful and always available for you when you're onsite if anything at all is confusing, unexpected, or goes wrong. Once a dog had eaten about 7 granola bars with chocolate in them in between the time the pet parent left and I arrived, and even though it was an odd hour on a weekend, I was able to contact the office (and it ended up being the general manager who helped me figure out what to do.

      Cons

      You pretty much have to work 24/7 (house sittings) and on holidays to make a decent wage. This got extremely taxing being on call of the time after a while.
