Pros

They spend a lot on holiday dinners and team events.

Cons

Really horrible training. Training is like a confetti popper...let's throw everything out at your and see what sticks and have high expectations at the same time. You will hear from other employees how your other coworkers talked behind your back. Basically, you will learn on your own, and your contract says that you may be given roles that are not in the job description advertised on job websites...jobs that you have no prior experience in or ever wanted.

Pros

If this is your first opportunity to get into pentesting - this is gold! You are very unlikely to find a better place to learn and gain experience. The mid-senior-expert colleagues are for the most part extremely overqualified and very open to teach, mentor and support you on your journey. People in AppSec are definitely the biggest and one of the only "pros" that make this job worth it.

Cons

1. The wages here aro not low, they are well below any averages. 2. There seems to be an increase in micromanagement, lessening in the opportunities for any possibility of remote/hybrid work. 3. The benefits have deteriorated or simply taken away due to "budget cuts". 4. A lot of clueless people in management, sales and customer success positions that have absolutely no merit to hold them. 5. Overall, the management seems messy and very much "valuation-oriented". 6. There's very little room for actual progression in the career and the differences between junior-mid-senior-expert are very unnoticeable. 7. If you are promised something or something is mentioned as a benefit during your hiring process - demand it to be listed in the contract so they won't back out. 8. No paid overtime.
