Pros

Honestly can't think of any.

Cons

This is without a doubt the worst place I have ever worked. The "business" is a complete shambles and all the pressure is put on staff to deal with the ineptitude and incompetence of the Directors. It's embarrassing to tell people you work for a place that helps rich, privileged kids get even more of a head start in life and the type of people you work with are horrific. Unsurprisingly, management have no morals and staff are completely dispensable. All those working there are kept in constant fear they might get fired any moment. The phrase "hire slowly and fire quickly" is repeated constantly, to make sure staff know how little they are valued. This mean they are treated dreadfully - expected to work way beyond contract hours, no one ever takes a lunch break and it's generally an unpleasant environment - but they're too scared to say anything. Also, promises of bonuses and benefits are never met. No one enjoys working there, and anyone with ethics will be ashamed of being employed by these awful people. Contrary to what you might be led to believe, this will not help you in your career, in fact you'll find yourself having to explain what the hell you were doing there. i was lucky to only have a few months on my CV, so was able to explain it away as a stop gap. You're better off working in a bar and doing an unpaid internship. Stick to your guns and find a real job.

Pros

Those who are at similar levels to you are often really nice and have similar interests. Because most of the staff are recent graduates, it means the social aspect of the office is great and everyone gets along. Graduate roles there are very easy to learn too.

Cons

Poorly managed company with staff retention rates low. Money is always the priority, meaning quality of product gets neglected. Lots of blagging and acting up to get new customers, quoting extensive expertise that no-one actually has. Services are also promised to the clients that are very hard for the staff to deliver. The managers make your life very difficult.

Pros

The people - in recent years the company has attracted lots of highly motivated and energising people. This makes it a really motivating place to work. People here want to work hard and help students whatever their background. The feedback from clients, students, teachers and parents is very positive - and everyone comments on the energy of the place when you walk in. This is definitely not the company for you - if you want to moan about having to work for a living! The ability to take on lots of responsibility. It's a company where if you work hard, you'll be rewarded. There is no bureaucracy and weekly team breakfasts mean you stay on top of what is going on. There is a very open culture. The chance to partake in a diverse amount of work - from marketing, events, working with schools... to liaising with clients and general business operations. It is a place where you can really learn a lot about the business. The company really wants to make a difference - and everyone who works here wants that too.

Cons

There is lots to do. It's a small dynamic team but one that always wants to go that extra yard... that's why sometimes the hours can be longer than normal... but then you head to a school event or one of the public events and you see that it is all worth it. Like many a small company, there is less structure and some people just cannot function without structure. I personally loved that - as it meant you could take on more work and not be stuck in one department - but some people might not enjoy that. Your role can be more generalist than specialist - which I personally loved but again some people might not.
