Pros

The downtown Pensacola location was good. The employees I worked with were fantastic.

Cons

I tried to hang on and justify all the red flags. I lied to myself that it was necessary to be berated constantly by an arrogant and clueless ceo. Maybe it was Stockholm syndrome but looking back, my biggest regret is not leaving sooner. OxeFit is poison. It began as a great idea with potential to become something great. Unfortunately, that potential success was sabotaged by horrendous management, bad treatment of employees, ignoring constraints and safety, and an environment of blame. There is a reason almost no founding members are left. If you’re considering interviewing, my advice is - Don’t! Move on.

Pros

The people that work here are so talented. There is such a diverse set of skills and everyone is fully invested in making amazing products. Not only are they talented, they're genuinely good people who are fun to be around. The team managers are extremely good at running their teams. They do a great job taking top-level requests and putting everyone in the right spot to get things done efficiently. The products were working on our seriously exciting to be a part of.

Cons

Time management could be much better at the very top level. There are often times that you will be tasked with completing certain tasks that have been approved through the entire chain of command yet whenever you're done implementing them, the top level management will be extremely critical and make you do it all over again. There is definitely a lot of work to be done and everyone is very busy. You should know what you're getting into as far as the work load goes. Most people work the whole day, excluding family dinner time. The CEO is not very pleasant. He has a lot of experience in business, but he doesn't treat people with the kind of respect that you would expect them to be treated with. In fact, he has been so rude to employees that he has actually been the direct reason a few really quality employees decided to leave the company.

Pros

- Top of the line talent(around you) - Top of the line product - A large majority of the lower level and mid level employees are very nice and help keep you sane - You might(depending on where you work) be able to meet a celebrity or two - You get free pizza when someone gets fired(no joke, its typically 1-2 times a month on a Friday)

Cons

- No work/life balance, its gotten so bad that lower level employees pressure each other to stay longer to please the CEO - CEO controls literally everything, if you need a 10 dollar tool from Amazon? He has to approve it - CEO controls when people get fired, not the people that actually manage the person that is getting fired. Despite the CEO rarely being around to witness that person working(Mind you this company is 80-100 employees large now and has 3 different locations) - To compound the previous con, it takes 1-2 months to get reimbursed for a purchase you make if you have to use your own money. Some of the employees have been owed up to 10k at a time. To which you might say, why wouldn't they just wait for the CEO to approve it? Well the issue is that the CEO always wants results immediately. Whether that be code or a physical product, so often times you cant wait around for that approval to come. - There is always drama because everything has to happen immediately, so if you value your mental health at all, I would avoid this place at all costs. - Everything revolves around sales team, if they promised a customer something then it must happen. Regardless of what else is going on. This often leads to people quitting and a larger rift between the sales team and the manufacturing team(because they fail to communicate with each other in good time)
