My time at Oxylabs was extremely frustrating. The entire system is built around manager-dependent favoritism. It doesn’t matter how well you perform - if you’re not one of the manager’s “favorites,” you won’t get promoted, you won’t get a raise, and you won’t get recognition. Meanwhile, the loud, opportunistic “golden kids” get all the attention, and frankly, it’s nauseating to watch.
The overall culture feels immature and unprofessional. Some colleagues throw around hurtful or disrespectful comments without even thinking they might offend someone. This lack of basic emotional awareness is shocking for a company that considers itself modern or progressive.
Management behavior can be downright inappropriate. At one point my manager even made a remark implying they could “spread the word” to make sure I supposedly wouldn’t end up at Tesonet — whether meant seriously or not, it was wildly unprofessional and completely out of line.
As for HR — I honestly don’t understand their role. They seem disconnected from what’s happening in the teams, don’t communicate with managers, and don’t address obvious issues. From my experience, they provided no real support, no guidance, and had zero influence on improving the toxic dynamics. It felt like HR existed only on paper.
