Pros

Rewarding work, you get to help shape the minds of the youth.

Cons

-Pay is LOW . -Management is horribly self centered and non empathetic. -they treat the kids as If they are just another number and not humans -they make the kids take horrible amounts of medications that they know they can't afford once the leave at 18 - when I worked there we had a few kids that were gay,bi, lesbians etc. And the ranch told them that was wrong and tried to change them. It was gross to watch. -They will put you in dangerous situations by being out of proportions at cottages such as south and west.

Pros

Ozark Center paid for all of my CEUs and training to make sure that I had top notch skills for working with clients. They try to stay ahead with all of the latest evidence based practices and treatments. They offer comfortable office space and supplies. They provide a decent amount of vacation time. Bonuses are small but at least you get one. I believe they try to provide a safe work environment. They are also an approved site for the NHSC loan repayment program which is a great perk.

Cons

They will take and take and take from you. Work loads are overwhelming. Administration is not good about listening to their employees needs and I believe it’s because they have grown exponentially and cannot meet the demands so they overwork their staff with little incentive to stay. I would not have left if I had felt like I was being heard. They offer trauma informed care to the clients but not staff,

Worst Company To Work For

Pros

If you can find anywhere else in the world to work, then go anywhere else. You deserve better than to work for this company.

Cons

Underpaid and overworked. Bottom line is OC only cares about making money. They do not care about their employees, they do not care about honesty, the do not care about clients. They will have secretaries lie to new clients to get new clients in the door. They are fraudulent in their billing & dishonest to insurance companies. They pay therapists a fraction of what the therapist make seeing clients and they do not care about burnout. If employees speak up, they are silenced, ignored or fired for other reasons. I left this agency on my own accord after 6 years of attempting to help families while receiving no support or encouragement from supervisors.
