Pros

PACER Center is well known in the non-profit world, respected, and has a nationally acclaimed Bullying Prevention Center. PACER Center has some of the friendliest, hardest-working staff I've ever encountered. Depending on what department you work in it can be trustworthy and flexible, or micro-managed and demanding. Many unique things happen at PACER, like the privilege to meet senators, CEOs, and celebrities, which keep things interesting.

Cons

There is not much room for advancement. The Executive Director micro-manages everything.

Pros

What made PACER one of the best places I've worked: Belief in the mission, excellent colleagues, and the variety of work (presenting, writing, collaborating, etc).

Cons

Small, nonprofit organizations can sometimes have efficiency issues and have people going quite far outside of their job descriptions to get things done.
