Pros

At my particular location the only pro is that I love working with my team. We all respect one another and work well together. Also lucky my manager is not a micro-managing person and is not in your face all the time about sales.

Cons

I have a long list so get ready lol. I first want to make it clear that PG Wireless is NOT Sprint. They are a small company that is allowed to use Sprint's name ( 3party). Sprint pays these 3rd party companies less to do pretty much the same thing as a corporate Sprint Store. Now that you have a little bit of an understanding of this company, I can disccus the significant CONS. 1. The company is VERY misleading when you apply whether via Indeed or their actual website. I have seen ads for Retail Sales Reps stating you can make $18.00hr plus commission which is total LIE! When I applied a few months ago, I was told I could make on average 35k a year. When in real life I am struggling to pay bills on time. 2. The training process is a COMPLETE JOKE!!! You are pretty much thrown into a storm and they hope you learn through such a hectic and unorganized process. Instead of investing in a REAL 2-3 week training program they make other sales reps train you as they go and customers suffer when this happens. You have to slow down your transaction to train a newbie. I experienced so many customers complaints because of that. They would say how much they are in rush and we would have to stop MY training and try to learn with a customer thats not in a rush. I would even be left alone on the sales floor not knowing A THING and customer would get upset and even curse at me because I did not know anything. 3. You are told you will receive hourly plus commission. Sounds great right? Welp they don't tell you that it takes approximately 6 MONTHS from your start date to receive a dime of that commission and 3-4 MONTHS after your start date to get it turned on!!! Why because of their TRAIN as YOU GO Bull!!! I worked at a slow store so many days I could not learn very much at all. Which meant a delayed commission start being on. 4. I was told that the store I was selected for was BUSY!! Talk about a lie. On a Saturday our store is lucky if we do 1 upgrade per rep. Lets not even talk about new Acts. Our store is dead yet we are still suppose to make UNREALISTIC SALES GOALS. 5.Everyone hire-up in the company is selected because they KISS you know what. There is no unbiased HR with this horrible company. They chose people to move up because they like them, not because they are QUALIFIED. When you start day1 this will be very clear. Your so called "personnel" lady is lazy and comes to work stoned everyday. Once hired no one cares to check and see how you are doing. Thats why their is such a high turnover rate. 6. Last but not least. Benefits with this company are yet another joke. Premiums are through the roof. You would be better off paying out of pocket for healthcare. Its takes 3-5 years just to get 2weeks of paid vacation. And your vacation days do not roll over. In conclusion, never be so desperate for a job that you forget to ask the important questions. If you have to spend majority or your time every week at a job make sure they invest in you as much as they expect you to perform. This company might be great for someone who is single with little to no bills, but if YOU HAVE A FAMILY OR A LOT OF BILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES,this position/company will not sustain you. Only exhaust you.

Thank you for your review. Feedback from our employees is the only way to identify opportunities of improvement, so thank you for posting this review. You have offered several points that merit acknowledgement. The Wireless Retail Sales position is truly a sales position. To maximize your pay you need to have strong sales skills. To your point about training, we realized that sales reps were not ready to maximize the opportunity when they hit the sales floor, so we created a longer more in depth training class so that we can avoid situations like yours in the future.

Pros

The pay I guess... they start you off with a very good hourly pay.

Cons

Where to start... Management: is a complete joke, my manager pretty much just rides the clock and run his mouth. Benefits: Total Scam, they claim you have to wait 90 days until they turn them on. But they have no problem taking a HUGE chunk out of your check, and also sign you up for the most expensive package that you do not agree upon. Corporate staff: even more of a joke, hard to get in touch with, dry attitudes, some of them look like they didn't even really have the experience to work in corporate they just knew the right ppl. Basically I thought I was about to work for SPRINT and I was sadly mistaken.

Thank you for your feedback. We regularly evaluate our management to weed out employees who aren’t maximizing the opportunity. We are always looking to improve our benefits package, getting premiums down is an ongoing goal for us.
