Pros

PRA has an excellent homegrown eTMF system. The system was very user-friendly and easily utilized as a review tool for comparison against the investigator's site file. Compensation and benefits are similar to other CROs. They were willing to provide opportunity for me to again therapeutic experience though my background was primarily in normal healthy volunteers. They also offered a mutli-day training to introduce new CRAs to their electronic systems, which was very helpful.

Cons

The line managers I worked under were not very helpful when I requested assistance achieve balance my workload and did not provide much support in challenging situations. That with the combination of a poorly managed high profile study ultimately lead to my departure from the company.

Pros

CRAs enjoy a flexible work schedule and are able to schedule their travel and site visits to meet their specific needs for the most part. The managment suppor for CRAs is good. Functional managers are assigned to each employee to balance the demands of different departments and studies keeping the pressure on prioritizing off the CRA. The company provides a great benefit package especially to the senior people. PRA has a great IT department that is available 24/7 and is extremely helpful.

Cons

Like many high tech companies PRA has too many systems/processes and has frequent changes in systems that require consistent in-service.
